BrixResearch Moderator says: Morgan Stanley Real Estate is planning to invest an additional $1 billion in India. This investment would be made over the next five years. The company had earlier invested about $750 million in the India.
This comes despite views that India could see fewer commercial investment transactions in the near term.

Will govt stamp boost the prospects of property segment?
BrixResearch Moderator says: The big-wigs of property segment like DLF and Omaxe have been asking for an industry status for the property segment. Currently, property is considered as an ‘industry segment’ only. On the other hand, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has recommended setting up of a national infrastructure implementation and monitoring agency. This stature will ensure more funds and active fund regulation into the sector.
Will all these measures boost the prospectus of real estate segment?

Is it good to buy property when the market is slow?
BrixResearch Moderator says: The number of property transactions may have dwindled but the market hasn’t comer to a halt as yet. Buyers are very careful of where they are putting their money. In fact property analysts have been telling buyers that this is the best time to buy property as the prices are very affordable. This goes with the assumption that when the markets get back in shape then these properties will shell out profits in terms of buy-back value or rentals.
