Will affordable housing boost property sales?

BrixResearch Moderator says: Mahindra Lifespaces has just announced that its new property project will have affordable houses. This move is expected to bring in more buyers from the middle-income segment.

Affordable housing is making waves in the realty sector due to high cost of property, high home loan rates, high inflation and the huge gap between demand and supply. Other developers like Matheran Realty, Indu Projects, Shriram Properties, Jain Heights and Structures, Ansal Properties and Shapoorji Pallonji have already announced projects in this category. But will this move boost property sales?

Property price poised to come down

BrixResearch Moderator says: Market analysts are certain that property prices will come down after the turmoil in the global markets. Cash crunch in the US markets has set a tizzy in the global markets. Indian property developers are also anticipating some ripple of the same. This has brought in a halt to the property prices as developers are desperate to sell their projects.

Will this market correction bring down the prices of property? Will price correction help boost sales of property projects? What’s your take on this?

Do new sectors in Gurgaon offer hope to home seekers?

BrixResearch Moderator says: The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is developing about 58 new sectors in Gurgaon. HUDA will develop most of these sectors while some land has earmarked for the private property developers as well. This is in accordance with the policies of the new Master Plan. Home seekers are hoping that these sectors may offer affordable housing.
